So, the Veronica Mars season three premiere is streaming at MSN.com, and I’ve watched it. Twice, in fact. My thoughts on the episode are after the jump, so go watch it, then come back and let’s gossip about it!

Veronica Mars interviews from The CW launch party

Chris Lowell has totally won me over.  He’s playing new guy Piz on Veronica Mars, and you can catch a bunch of cast member interviews here from The CW launch party (click on the video player on the right).  Warning: I’ve heard that Julie Gonzalo interview is a little spoilery.

Less than a week away!

Great Veronica Mars interview with Rob Thomas here, with a couple mild plot spoilers and a couple awesome casting ones (two words: Homer Simpson).   But the real reason you should click on that link is the promo photo of Logan and Veronica together … it’s like 60% hot, 40% weird.

Also, as of this writing, there is less than a week until the season premiere is available online.  That’s like, 100% exciting.

Fiercely freak out your friends

Do you have nightmares of Tyra Banks calling you in the middle of the night and yelling “HOLLA!” in your ear? Do you know someone who shares this fear? Inflict the pain on them here.

Season premiere of America’s Next Top Model tomorrow on The CW!

What do the Lost numbers mean?

September 18, 2006 at 12:20 pm | Posted in Lost | 1 Comment

The creators of Lost spilled the answer in a video for the Lost Experience online. Watch below:

So basically, there’s some barely plausible explanation about how the numbers relate to the destruction of humanity. They keep referring to them as an “equation,” when we all know that generally you need an equals sign or an x or y to have one of those. And then some crazy dude is going to unleash a virus. Creepy!

Neptune High has invaded MySpace.  I love the pages for Wallace and Dick — that beer wallpaper is so appropriate.  Oh, and let Ryan Hansen tell you about how acting is like a flower here.

The Amazing Race starts tonight

September 17, 2006 at 4:10 am | Posted in TV News | Leave a comment

Matt Roush is hyping tonight’s premiere of The Amazing Race, on CBS at 8:30.  I’ll be watching a little Sunday night football, but I’m definitely taping this to catch later.

As long as I’m thinking about reality tv, let’s have a moment of silence for Project Runway‘s Kayne.  Even though some of his outfits were a little fugly, Kayne truly had some moments of glory, especially that incredible Marilyn Monroe leather dress.  He’s going to have a great career ahead of him.

Veronica Mars premiere in nine days!

Michael Ausiello has seen the Veronica Mars season premiere, and the word is: it’s amazing.  Well, I wouldn’t expect anything less.  And guess what: apparently there’s a little Battlestar Galactica crossover action!  Love it.  Those two shows are probably my favorite two dramas on tv (with Lost at number three), so I’m getting giddy just thinking about this.

Watch a scene from the Veronica Mars premiere

September 16, 2006 at 3:32 am | Posted in TV News, Veronica Mars | Leave a comment

The CW website has streaming video of a scene from the Veronica Mars season three premiere episode, “Welcome Wagon.”  The scene’s a rough cut, but you get a nice long look at new cast member Chris Lowell.  Anyway, it’s not super exciting, but definitely enough to make you salivate in anticipation of the October 3rd premiere.

Benji ain’t going to Vegas

September 15, 2006 at 4:59 pm | Posted in So You Think You Can Dance, TV News | 4 Comments

Of course, this isn’t much of a shocker, but Benji Schwimmer turned down the So You Think You Can Dance prize of a year-long contract with Celine Dion’s Las Vegas show.  Read more about the contestants and the tour here.  Among other bits of news, Allison Holker might be back for the High School Musical sequel.  Let’s hope she has a line this time!

Oodles of Veronica Mars news

September 13, 2006 at 5:21 pm | Posted in Movies, TV News | Leave a comment

Wow, the word “oodles” looks pretty ridiculous when typed out. So much Veronica-related news today! First, there’s some coverage in this week’s Ask Ausiello, including a spoiler that should provoke major speculation. I wish I hadn’t seen it, so I’ll spare you and tell you the noteworthy less-spoilery news: Alona Tal (the recently deceased cheerleader baby-mama Meg) will be doing a long-term series of guest appearances on Supernatural. And, as hinted at by Rob Thomas in an earlier interview, James Jordan (suicidal janitor Lucky) will be returning to Veronica Mars, playing a different character: Tim Foyle, a TA in one of Veronica’s classes. A TA who looks strangely like a suicidal janitor Veronica once knew. Yeah, that’s going to annoy me.

Next, check out stills from Kristen Bell’s new movie Fanboys, including one where she’s dressed in full Princess Leia regalia.

Also, American Eagle will be sponsoring commercial segments on Veronica Mars, and also promoting the show in its stores. Seems like a good fit.

Did anyone catch Harry Hamlin on Dancing with the Stars last night?  Two left feet?  Hidden talent?  What’s the word?

George Michael!

Not the singer, duh. I’m talking about the best actor of his generation: Michael Cera, a.k.a. George Michael Bluth from Arrested Development. Why all the hyperbole? I don’t know, I just really like this guy. Anyway, here’s an interview.
