Can’t we all just get along?

Dick Clark Productions, obviously you have a right and a duty to protect your copyright. But, why not make So You Think You Can Dance performances available on the Fox website (with commercials)? Let’s face it, this show is not going to be lucrative for syndication or DVD sales, but there is still a large demand for the footage on the internet. Just a suggestion.

  1. I agree! I’ve been looking all over for Ivan and Allison’s contemporary performance!! It’s nowhere to be found!

  2. I second that. Maybe we should just be obnoxious and keep uploading them until they just cave in and let us share the magic of SYTYCD. I mean, geez, it’s not that big of a deal to have a couple of dance clips online.

  3. Yeah, it just doesn’t make any sense from a commercial standpoint. The only possible reason I can think of to NOT make clips available is if Fox is planning to market a “Best Of” DVD, and the only way to gauge a demand for a DVD is to track consumer response to clips online. They’re not even selling clips on iTunes, which would be the most obvious way of profiting. It’s just silly.

  4. I agree. I’ve been looking everywhere for the videa of Ivan and Allison dancing to “Why” and I can’t find it anywhere. It’s so stupid that they won’t let people watch it over the internet, they should be happy that viewers are interested enough and enjoyed the show/preformance so much that they want to watch it again. What’s the harm in that?

  5. You guys really havent looked that hard have you? There’s video all over the internet on multiple sites. Too bad I didnt bookmark them. I usually get the links from the Fox Forums (SYTYCD Forum).

tehannie.blogspot.com has a whole listing of videos you can download, including both nights worth of performances.
