Sheriff Lamb still in, Jackie Cook still out

There’s a New York Times article about TV showrunners going on Television Without Pity to defend/discuss their decisions, and Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas is interviewed. Among other things, he confesses to making Jackie Cook saintly because of all the internet criticism, and says that if he had to do it over again, he’d make her character more complex. Don’t worry, Rob, you’re forgiven — but you could have literally made Jackie a saint, and I still wouldn’t have liked her. That stunt she pulled with the psychic was UNFORGIVABLE. (Plus, she dissed Jane Austen.)

In other Neptune news, Michael Muhney (Sheriff Lamb) has just been promoted to series regular. This means he’s getting a bigger salary, but I’m not sure how many episodes he will actually appear in. Still no word on whether Ryan Hansen (Dick Casablancas) is returning. He should probably go see the wizard, and ask him for some job security.
