I call bullshit

If you need proof that the Cold War is not over, look no further than last night’s episode of So You Think You Can Dance, in which the judges chose to eliminate ballroom dancer Stanislav Savich and keep b-boy Ivan Koumaev. The main difference between the two: Stanislav’s heavily-accented speech versus Ivan’s perfect American English. Another difference: Stanislav is talented, and Ivan is not. Perhaps I’m not giving the judges enough credit; it could have just been their knee-jerk reaction to Stanislav’s striking resemblance to Clay Aiken. While not attractive, Ivan does look very much like Fievel the mouse — maybe Nigel thinks those rodenty ears will be a hit with the ladies. Sigh. Stanislav, we hardly knew ye.

Updated: Wow, who knew Ivan would turn out to be so great?  (Well, I guess Nigel did.)   Anyway, Emo Hair Ben should’ve gotten the boot this week, I’ll leave Ivan out of it.  Kisses, Ivan!

  1. i agree, i am also new American from Russia and i agree that Stanislav elimination was unfair. he was a better dancer.

  2. no way, Ivan is totally the better dancer. He got moves and looks way better that that other russian guy. Ivan is russian too. He is so hot and of course girls will fall for him. MARRY ME IVAN!
